Ruthie

  • A film by Brian Cagle for which I served as the sound recordist, composer, and sound designer. This is the opening scene in which Ruthie treks across the southern landscape. The sound design is constructed from multiple “bug ambiances” I recorded on site. The music (about halfway through the clip) is a bowed acoustic guitar that has been digitally processed to emphasize some of the natural harmonics.
